What.....

Knights don't give up those rights. The Kingsguard does but he is no longer with them.

My bad, you right. Isnt it once youve joined the kingsguard it's over for you though? Or am I completely off base?

GRRM did a good job pushing all the claims into grey areas so that the characters would have legitimate reasons to argue

Cersei is on the throne because she married the king
Jaime is the eldest male in her family > but he joined the KG but > but he isn't in it now
Tyrion is the next eldest male in her family > but he lost a Trial by Combat so by law he should be executed and can't hold office
Sansa married that male before the trial and hasn't taken any action that invalidated her claim
Dany's father was king and she intends to recapture that throne
Jon is technically ahead of her in the line of succession > but there is little evidence of that > plus he also joined the Night's Watch > but he died so does that nullify the vows > also the Night's Watch kinda doesn't exist atm > also Jon accepted the title King of the North which is technically an open treason

Simplest answer right now is we got another Rober Baratheon situation where whoever conquers the kingdom this week will get the throne

Sansa never consummated the marriage. That is why she was allowed to marry Ramsay.

Jon has by far the best claim to the throne out of all of them obviously.

Ok, I've had all week to research it's the last chance to post my prediction before tonight:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Battle starts, the AotD are winning in a landslide. They've got the main cast cornered and disabled. But instead of being killed, they are brought to the Godswood, where Bran waits.

NK communicates to Bran that his family will be killed unless Bran goes back in time in a vision and undoes the creation of the NK. Bran agrees, but he gives a secret signal to Theon.

When Bran gets back to pivotal moment, Theon kills Bran's body in the present. This allows Bran to replace NK, which is a continuation of the cycle that has been going on for 12,000 years since the CotF started it.

NK, sensing the betrayal reaches out and touches Jon. Jaime reacts by lunging at NK with his weapon. In a penultimate moment of all their fates converging, Jon's conversion has began, but it interrupted by NK's death.

This creates a "halfway state" state similar to what Benjen described when we last saw him. The combination of 3ER's magic, NK's touch and Jon's Targ magic allows Bran to pass control of NK's army to the Jon in the present.

Jon is now half-wight and in control of the AotD. This leaves us with 3 warring factions: Jon vs Dany vs Cersei. They will duke it out in the remaining episodes.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The pieces of this story do not quite fit together. It's at least half-wrong. But I there might be some pieces that are correct as well.

Jaime is the "price that was promised" he is called the king slayer because he killed the "king of fire" and now he is going to kill the "king of ice" hence the name of the books/show "fire and ice".

Jaime's sword oathbringer is going to turn into light bringer after he kills brienne (out of request by her so she doesn't turn into a wight) which gives him the power to kill the NK.
