I feel like DC should say fuck the kid audience, acknowledge that they're not going to break into Disney's death grip on the genre, and they should focus on darker, bloodier storylines. There are loads of good DC characters they could use for dark and gritty. Pull away from cartoonish shit like suicide squad, since again Marvel does it better with Deadpool, and aim to create more content like V for Vendetta, the Dark Knight or like what Marvel did with Logan. Marvel even does gritty better, but not aa much money in it, so they'll stick to soulless one-liner driven CGIfests lol

flash scene was good but it's almost impossible to not make a flash scene be good. Flashpoint needs a good writer.

It's a lot lot lot better than the original. A lot. Could've done without the nightmare scene at the end though. Introduce MM at the "end" then do the luther scene "after credits".

I wish they would do this too. But I think their attempts with suicide squad and then spinning off birds of prey showed they fail at most of their attempts at anything.

I am actually impressed that it was as good as it was, blows the original completely out of the water and makes up for the recent shit shows from DC. It's a shame we'll never see the anti-life superman. Aquaman 2 is still going to happen, the flash movie with batfleck will be coming and gal gadot said she wants wonder woman 3. Also a shame we won't see the deathstroke movie.

Just I just finished my second watch of this. And I stand by my statement, this is a masterpiece.

There’s only a few things I don’t like

- Affleck as Batman in general, he’s just ok. I just imagine this movie with Bale and get angry that’s not the reality. But oh well. Affleck has good and bad moments as Batman. But aside from Affleck being Batman, I just hate the batsuit. Just to big an awkward and kind of looks like a big muscular wool sweater and a hoodie with ears lol

- Barry Allen’s humor. I no almost zero about the character Barry Allen and/or the flash. I’m assuming he’s always like a comedic presence? Maybe it was just poor writing? The hotdog thing was bad, the whole dog shop speech was weird, I did read they cut out a bunch of his cringe from this cut. And I thought his speech during his big ending scene was a little weird. Just seems like they dropped the ball on his dialogue. I don’t mind the actor in general, he’s fine as that dorky little side kick who plays an important role. Just like I said some of the dialogue for him specifically was meh

- The Flash, he just runs weird lol. Some of his movements made me question if Zach Snyder has ever run before

- Also found it a bit odd that the Amazonians give Steppenwolf one hell of a fight protecting the box. But the Atlantians had no one to protect it and gave it up with zero fight lol

- Aspect ratio I still haven’t decided if I like or not lol

Honestly those are like my only gripes with the movie. Which isn’t really enough for me to not love this film.

Sticking with the 8/10

Sometimes movies just need to be long. Snyder had to leave this project at the worst time possible and his vision was compromised and terrorized. I’ve seen so many movies where I say to myself ‘that was pretty good. I just wish it was longer’ and it’s not the first time a directors cut has been significantly better than a theatrical release. Honestly it could have been even longer and I wouldn’t have cared. But there’s no way this movie could be 2hours or less. It’s to epic of a story and adventure….. could only have been broken into Pt. 1 and Pt. 2 to make the sit time more manageable especially if it was longer. But I’m totally ok with the current run time.

I haven't watched this yet but I really liked affleck as batman in bvs and justice league, one of the best parts of the dceu imo

I couldn't disagree with you more. Affleck is easily the best on screen Batman we have ever had, it's criminal how under utilized he was. The Snyder cut is a lot better than 2017 cut, but the direction Snyder took the DCEU is horrible. A LOT of creative mistakes were made, which is extremely frustrating cuz Cavill, Gadot and Affleck are so fucking perfect for their characters. Could have had a movie universe that rivaled the DC animated universe. I honestly don't think there could be better casting.
