I learned a long time ago...don't fuck with AMD CPU recommendations. It's not a smart choice. Especially for a guy that needed to ask wtf a PCIe slot was.

/e But you guys know more than GSkill. :/

/ee The mobo manufacturer has to list what's possible on their board...As for me I'll go with what the RAM manufacturer says.

im using 3000mhz ram on in my ryzen pc right now

stop.............

5% of 100fps is what... 5fps...stop the presses...I gotta get me some 3200Mhz. :/

Are you fuckin serious. :/

/e not to mention that that 5% is NOT gotten without a lot of timing twiddling and stress and twiddling etc.

OP you have a choice.
listen to mason and me that recently built a ryzen build with personal experience, and for $2 extra why wouldnt you want the 5+fps boost? or even leave it at 2400mhz and have the OPTION to increase it to 3000+ with np in the future
or
you can listen to ghot with insane stubborness, and dcss with a google degree.
There isn't "stressful twiddling" involved, all you gotta do is update bios through appcenter and be done with. WHat would be stressful twiddling is if u buy the 2400mhz, and manually try to set it to 3000mhz one day.
idk why Ghot thinks spending $2 for 5+ fps gains is a problem, when he's telling everyone they must spend 1.5k.

I'm telling ya. I know very little about computers and hardware.

I've been trying to learn. But this is just overkill..

XMP Profiles exist specifically for your type, you don't and shouldn't settle for keeping it at 2400.

It's one click.

bios aren't scary

well cept when you overvolt your am3 socket too hard and corrupt the bios and the image fractures into thousands of colors everytime you enter bios until you clear the cmos

Because I want his comp to work out of the box...with no BS.

I don't want him to put in the 3200Mhz RAM and then have to go through all the BS to one...get it to run at 3200Mhz, when the BIOS will auto it to 2400Mhz anyhow.

Well maybe you weren't online when the last three guys were wondering why XMP wasn't giving them anything over 2667 Mhz.

google degree? I've owned several sets of g.skill and they've always gone above and beyond the default speeds with no difficulties.

There's def stubborn ppl here all right. I just wish they were online at 3AM when their builds have the problems I've mentioned, and the owner is yelling...wtf?!?

/e They are not unsolvable problems...just unnecessary problems.
