I know it's not the best. I have 2x 240 pin 4gb sticks currently but since I picked a 288 motherboard I had to upgrade the sticks. If you can find a 240 pin motherboard for similar price, that would be awesome. My brother said he is gonna buy me a computer but I don't know his price range.

Also have a GeForce 750 Ti that I planned on using as well

Here is my parts list I picked.

storage atm is 500gb hdd (unfortunately) but soonish i'll be upgrading that to a sdd.

changed the cooling fan since it said it may need additioinal attachments to fit the motherboard as well as case (i like orange and red over blue)

What are you doing on this pc? Just games?

1500x > 7400 > 1400 i think?
For gaming at least..

1400: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/j2WzRG
1500x: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/bVcGD8
7400: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/n9xWKZ
7500: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/3MYPvV

Or get this https://pcpartpicker.com/list/8yyYKZ

$50 more than what you posted ;)
When u get a new graphics card, you should upgrade case/psu depending on the card u get ofc.

Upgrade order: ssd, gpu and PSU, case, cpu cooler (to AIO water cooler)

I guess what I'd like to know is the difference between all these and what each number means?

Numbers are just product names.
1400 > 7400
1400 < 7500
1500x > 7400
1500x > 7500
7600k > All others listed

Should be pretty accurate for gaming purposes.
If you're getting a 1400 or 1500x, get a B350 board.
If you're getting a 7400 or 7500, get a B250 board.
If you're getting a 7600k, get a z270 board.

/E what's your current rig actually?
/Ee going back to work, I'll respond after my conference call

Alright. I like to learn, so I'm probably going to ask a lot of dumb questions. How do you know which boards match better with the processors?

Current rig... well.. let's just leave that unspoken xD

NP. Not in a huge rush. He said it'd take a month or so. I texted him about his budget on what he wants to spend and when he wakes up he'll let me know (he lives in Japan right now)
