So don't use those?

GSkill only lists 2133 and 2400

CPUworld sez max. RAM speed is 2667 Mhz. <--- for the 1500X CPU.

Hell, even Linus sez it doesn't really matter, and that 2400Mhz is the sweet spot. <---- I posted the new vid a few days ago. He bench marked them all.

G.Skill overclocks like a champ anyway

Wouldn't be surprised of you can get those DIMM's up to 2666 on default voltage/timings, and to at least 3000 with tweaks.

comparison graphs show appreciable gains all the way up to 3200

So there is a lot of debate between the RAM speed.. all of that aside for a bit, as I'm still trying to figure out what I'm going to do

I'm still kind of lost with it and read somewhere that the higher the number, the higher the latency. I thought this was odd. True or no?

and
A. how do you overclock your computer?
B. what is the point to overclocking your computer?

That'as true...generally. You can READ timings instead of latency if you want. The 1st timing number... IS the latency.

Overclocking is not that hard these days. EWhat it does is make your CPU ...go faster. <---- Short version.

so you would want a 2400MHz over a 3000MHz? or is the first number the 15-15-15? type

CPUWorld is the urban dictionary of Wikipedia

Op - get 3000 or 3200 kit

Personally I would listen to CPUworld and GSkill, and Linus.

CPUworld is just like ArkIntel.

Dude...Linus benched all the RAM speeds...just a week ago...2400Mhz is pretty much all you need to buy.

/e The ugly truth that every one seems to be avoiding...is that as the freq. goes up so do the timings (slower). It seems to balance out.

Because it's free performance. Don't bother getting higher clocked RAM, it's a marketing trick and makes about as much sense as buying an fx-9590 over an 8350.
