Definitely didn't help at all on the boot up screen still really slow loading comp but I guess that's what an ssd will do?

that's a idk. because I've heard ssd's lifespans are less than hdd's.

so they may be lieing they may not be. how much space u need? more than 500gb?

Lifespan is more based on the amount of data written to it over time. Reading has incredibly little wear compared to writing on an SSD, so if all they did was back data up on it occasionally, chances are it's still fine for a few years.
Either way, that a $120-150 hard drive for $50. If it works for even a year he got his money's worth IMO.

well, it's a solid state drive. but yeah if the people weren't lieing it's a good dead
