Can you fit any ram into any computer? If so what does it exactly do?? I found fury hyper x 8gb ram for 30$ should I pick it up?

No.

Depends on motherboards. DDR4 is the current standard, but older chipsets (FX series, Intel was around 4th gen, and it depended on the motherboard IIRC) use DDR3. If you can tell us what motherboard you have and the model number on the ram, we can tell you.

download speccy. you can get it for free. then click on the motherboard tab and the ram tab and tell us what it is.

That's the mobo you are using.

It supports up to 16gb in dual channel. If you get the 8gb of ram, you MUST remove the other 4GB stick your motherboard came with.

The Ram MUST be either DDR3 1066, 1333, or 1600. Other RAM isn't supported.

I'd post the ram you found, just to double check and make sure the RAM and MOBO are compatible.
