So, I’m sitting here playing D2 and my computer takes a random shit on mr.
I have had this computer maybe 6 years (good life) and the Blue message pops up saying “Default Boot Device Missing or Boot Failed” so I’m like wtf.

My laptop is Windows 10

I then try to boot it in Legacy mode and it still has an issue booting. So, what can I do to recover all of that shit on my computer, or is it completely fucked?

I have picture of my daughter’s first easter on there from Hawaii, that I will never get back.

Any other solutions?....will pay a tip for someone to be able To help me get this thing back online

Well if the HDD failed without doing a wipe the easiest solution for data recovery might be this

https://www.amazon.com/Sabrent-External-Lay-Flat-Docking-EC-DFLT/dp/B00LS5NFQ2/ref=as_li_ss_tl?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B00LS5NFQ2&pd_rd_r=3QH0YPSE41FEKQRAH8XZ&pd_rd_w=Ibqvk&pd_rd_wg=vEpz2&psc=1&refRID=3QH0YPSE41FEKQRAH8XZ&linkCode=sl1&tag=tech03c6-20&linkId=e7f4e991e4afb692715c370e32bb0419

You pull your HDD out of the laptop and slide it into there and then you can plug it up with a USB to another PC to pull pictures ect. off.

There's still a chance the HDD just died completely and this method won't work but theres a chance it will.

So is it safe to assume it actually just randomly shit on me for good? Like I was listening to music, on jsp, playing d2, and randomly this shit happened.
Do you suggest just taking it to a range, shooting it, and buying a new laptop?

Also, those pictures and some info I had was in my desktop.
Will that still read and am able to recover pictures on my desktop?

Well there's many testing you can do on it, but pretty much you've got one of two things wrong

A: The HDD just literally died, its a moving mechanical part (unless you have a newer one with an SSD) so eventually they will stop working
B: When you crashed a part of the Windows OS / Bootload got corrupted and you have to repair it.

Does the drive make any noise, clicking, humming etc?
If not proceed to try data recovery on it.

That’s what I’m going to do. There is nothing rattling, no noise, and I’m going to try to buy a reader and pull info. I just bought a new $1,400 laptop lol fuuuuuuck
