Respawn's Titanfall won't include single player, says 'for us it made sense'

I've been waiting for what seems like years for Respawn Entertainment to unveil their game, which we saw at E3 as Titanfall. Respawn is a company made up of the ex-Infinity Ward guys, Vince Zampella and Jason West.

We've found out some more information on their upcoming shooter, which won't be including a single player campaign. This means Titanfall is a multiplayer only title, but it also gives the developer the benefit of putting all power into the single side of the game instead of splitting up people into separate groups. Respawn head, Vince Zampella has said that he considers the studio a "small startup" with "60 some developers", stating it's better to focus their resources where they'll be better utilized.
Zampella adds:
We make these single-player missions that take up all the focus of the studio, that take a huge team six months to make, and players run through it in eight minutes. And how many people finish the single-player game? It's a small percentage. It's like, everyone plays through the first level, but 5% of people finish the game. Really, you split the team. They're two different games. They're balanced differently, they're scoped differently. But people spend hundreds of hours in the multiplayer experience versus 'as little time as possible rushing to the end' [in single-player]. So why do all the resources go there? To us it made sense to put it here. Now everybody sees all those resources, and multiplayer is better. For us it made sense.
Titanfall will be arriving on the Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC in early 2014.

Looking up Battlefield 4 information is becoming an increasingly dangerous task. It starts fine: a “blur the line between game and glory” here, a “dynamic destructable environments” there. But then it hits you: “Levolution“. Dammit. Now I’m sad.

Here’s something to lighten the mood: DICE have been answering questions about their planned Second Assault DLC, a map pack that will contain four “fan favourite” maps from Battlefield 3. As well as confirming the pack will only be a timed Xbox One exclusive, they’ve hinted at what two of those remade maps could be.

“This Premium expansion pack will feature four of the most fan-favorite maps from Battlefield 3,” explains the Second Assault info page, “redesigned to take advantage of our advanced Frostbite 3 engine and enhanced to include new multiplayer features from Battlefield 4.” Presumably that means the dreaded “L” word, along with the more welcome Commander Mode that’s being reinstated for this fourth edition.

When asked in a Reddit thread about the DLC pack, DICE’s core gameplay designer, Alan Kertz, mentioned that Operation Metro and Caspian Border were “runaway favorites”, strongly hinting at their imminent upgrades into the new game.

That leaves two more spaces to fill. Which maps do you want to see make the jump to Battlefield 4? Personally, I’d like Strike at Karkand and Sharqi Peninsula. Battlefield 2 maps that were remade for

see that better be a free dlc
otherwise 1 of the worst things in battlefield

how many buildings are in Caspian
fuck tif it has more destruction all te builds
can be blow up so fuk u

close steam and navigate here

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\config (or wherever you have steam installed)

delete the following folders

cookies
htmlcache
overlaycookies
overlayhtmlcache

Steam doesn't delete the cache files, etc which slows it down significantly. (ccleaner misses these files)

Once done, you should see a signficant improvement in speed.

mmmm deleted 377mb and it feels like i added an ssd
