Casual games are marked by their in consequence, they can be played in short bursts and their multiplayer provides a rigged competition that allows good and bad players to feel like they are winning.

Regenerating health means that as along as a bad player can reach cover, they don't suffer any consequences. Kill streaks ensure that with a bit of luck, players are awarded multiple skill free kills.

The mass appeal of call of duty isn't that its a hardcore fast paced shooter its that it looks like one.

Also if anyone cares there is a mod out for Bulder's Gate I and II that make it a seemless play through. It also improves the graphics and allows for wide screen play. But mainly it's used for playing through 1 to 2 to the Throne of Baal at the end with the same party and everything. It makes it one GIANT story line.

Oh btw if you own a PS3 they have remastered DOOM, DOOM II, DOOM 3 and all the extra content for DOOM 3 including adding new levels. Mind you as far as I know it's only for PS3 but just imagine playing DOOM in all it's glory in 1080p
