Grief_exe,23 Aug 2012 18:29 - Whats interesting is, he realized that Dark Souls renders at the resolution you select with his fix, then downscales to 720p, then upscales that image back up. So he got the game to render at higher resolutions, but then it downsampled it, then upscaled it, made it look better, but not great.
I think this is what you meant to say:

Basically the mouse and keyboard controls are garbage, but I haven't used them once since I have an xbox adapter. For a game like this, you really can't use a mouse and keyboard anyways, it really benefits from the analog input.
Game looks amazing with Durante's fix, and this video is wrong. The fix was actually released prior to the game's release, it only took him 23 minutes to get it up and running. He does software downsampling too, which is a lot easier then the typical downsampling I usually do where you have to essentially hack your monitor to force it to display more pixels.
I disagree on the frame rate though, its locked at 30 because of their animations but I haven't seen any dips at all. Even the problem areas from the console release like Blighttown, its a vertical/horizontal level and they are rendering the whole thing at once so the draw distance is massive. Consoles would average about 5-10 fps in that area, but I was getting a solid 30. And I have only crashed once so far while playing the game, which may not be attributed to the game at all.
I'm glad this game came to PC, let the modders take care of the bullshit because this is one of the most fun and rewarding games I have ever played.
And what you quoted me on there is really outdated, he fixed that issue before release, making the internal frame buffer correct. Since then he has fixed their garbage depth of field effect and implemented AF as well. There still is no true AA solution other then the AA you get from downsampling. (Their kind of is through Nvidia Inspector and Radeon Pro, but to get the former to work you have to turn off downsampling and it was making my gpu usage skyrocket).
Those are my inital impressions, and some screenshots. 16xAF, downsampled from 1440p to 1080p.
