just play beta versions of their game and if you like the game , buy the game if you don't like the game, don't buy it.
that should be what everyone should do instead of having their anti-company mind.

This assumes that people are capable of rational thought, which is obviously not the case.

Even if they are, marketing and the broken review system grabs the rest.

we live in a world filled with idiots, it's not your fault if they're idiots but you can always do it for your own good and not care about reviews as long you enjoy it since you're going to be playing the game not the persons that did the reviews, after all, everyone is different.

Well the problem is games are starting to cater towards idiots. And that's where those people's decisions start to affect me.

If you don't believe me just look at d3, skyrim, and what wow has turned into. All games cater exclusively to the lowest common denominator.
