Holy shit. Arma II is the number 1 seller on Steam because of the day Z mod.

Here is the info on it if interested:

Damn. Day Z mod looks sick. Its for Arma II

You load into a server on this huge island, and you spawn in a random location on the southern coast with some supplies.

Its persistant world, so we can play together. We just meet up and work together on shit.

There are zombies everywhere and you don't know if you can trust humans.

Weapons, items, and zombies are on random spawn throughout the zone, so you have to search towns for food, water, ammo, and guns.
You can also build cars, helicopters, and other vehicles if you find enough materials.

Here is an intro video of a guy just talking about it, nothing too interesting. But I watched a ton of awesome videos on youtube about this game.

Its an FPS btw, but this guy is playing in 3rd person. Bump up the resolution to 1080p for some sexyness. Its in Alpha btw so the animations aren't that great and there are some bugs.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 doesn't need a brand new game engine to improve the graphics over previous games in the series, Treyarch has insisted. Black Ops 2 is built using the latest, most advanced version of the engine that Call of Duty developers have used to build the first-person shooter series since 2005's Call of Duty 2: a heavily modified version of the id Tech 3 engine. Some fans have called on Activision to invest in a brand new graphics engine in order to spruce up Call of Duty's visuals. But Treyarch chief Mark Lamia said continuing to upgrade the current engine was enough to meet the development team's design goals. "People always ask me, 'Is this a new engine?' he told One of Swords. "I liken it to people who live in an older house that has been remodelled. Just because you're remodelling the house and it will look new or it will have a new kitchen, you don't tear out the foundation, or break out some of the framing. You might even go as hardcore as replacing the plumbing, and we will do that sort of thing, as an analogy. It's a gross simplification, but it's one way to say that. There's a lot of good still in that foundation that you wouldn't get rid of, and we don't. We look to advance in the areas that support our game design.

"Engines, each time they get touched, they change. The creators alter them; they don't modify what they don't need to, and then they alter what they need to. You can't make a competitive product if you're not upgrading that engine along the way." He added: "I think the whole thing about a new engine... sometimes that's a great buzzword. Well, I have a new graphics engine - is that a new engine? Where does it start and stop? Elements of the code, you can trace back for a very, very long time... but whole parts of the code are entirely new. Two areas we did focus on for this game were the graphics and the lighting - a pretty significant amount of work is going into that."When Activision announced Black Ops 2 earlier this month it promised a "visual overhaul", with graphical upgrades a mix of "tech and technique". In a demo to press played on an Xbox 360 build of the game, an unpopulated level set on Socotra Island in Yemen showed HDR lighting, bounce lighting, self-shadowing and a new texture technique called reveal mapping - all running at 60 frames per second

go fuckyourself

Edge is really the only place I trust anymore for some good review scores, they gave MP3 a 7 as well.
Game Trailers may be an up and commer but I may need to do some more research.

Its become a real joke at this point, IGN, gamespot, etc just take a bunch of money and give out high scores.

Everyone is really liking Max Payne's multiplayer though, may have to give it a try when the game gets cheaper.

A profile belonging to a programmer states he has contributed toward the prototyping, design and demo feedback "on various AAA titles including the Battlefield: Bad Company 3, Dead Space 2, Devil May Cry 5 and other unannounced titles."

An ex-EA Software Engineer has also mentioned working on implementing "the wandering of crowd system within Unreal3 engine" in Mirror's Edge 2 between July and August 2009, while a second ex-employee claims to have created "new gadgets and interactive features" into Mirror's Edge 2, with "leaderboards" and a "mini-game embedded into mirror's edge game story" highlighted.

Earlier today the CV of a Volition Inc. employee outed Saints Row 4 for current-gen platforms.

Although neither EA nor DICE have expressly confirmed Mirror's Edge 2, both have made multiple allusions to the highly-requested sequel. Last year EA Games Label boss Frank Gibeau said ideas for the sequel were being worked on and he was sure we'll see the IP combined with the Frostbite 2 engine DICE created for Battlefield 3.

EA's senior vice president Patrick Soderlund later confirmed the company was at work on a new Mirror's Edge project, but didn't divulge any further details. DICE's studio
