Minh Le, one of the creators of the legendary shooter Counter-Strike, has just announced a new, free-to-play shooter for this year.

Le is the Lead Designer on Tactical Intervention, a game he says, "builds off of what I tried to accomplish with Counter-Strike." He also added that there are new elements that players should be excited for, "especially the vehicle missions and new team focus."

Further clarifying the team and vehicle focus, the press release gave a few examples:

Players will get behind the driver's seat, shoot hanging out of vehicle passenger windows, call in attack dogs, and even make use of tactical rappel ropes to gain the upper hand on the opposing force. They will also have to be conscious of civilians who can be taken as hostages and used as human shields.

It's slated for a March release, and should have, "regular updates with new guns, maps, and more." To sign up for the upcoming beta
