its still fucked, pumps just chatterin. still seems like no liquid is moving, temps are still fucked. i've remounted it 3 times since and tried 3 different radiator positions

and it can't be a mounting pressure thing, I've installed this cooler dozens of times and this mobo is no thinner than the z97 I had before it. the TIM looks properly spread every time too

u can plug it into the mobo dude, was in cpu_fan for last 3 years. check the user manual https://images-eu.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/A1elVOVDGyL.pdf

ive tried both high power pump header and cpu_fan and always set to full speed

it functions better than u'd think as passive cooler lol

Didnt you say you put the stock cooler on and were still getting the same temps?

yeah exactly. if I'm getting 85-90C with a stock cooler, I should be getting at most 55-60C with the h100i V2 under the same conditions

thats a guess but either way the performance should be significantly better

thats after running prime95 for like 35 minutes max temp will hit 88C with the stock cooler
