By now, you must have already heard of Battlefield 3 winning multiple E3 and Gamescom awards and how a beta will be conducted for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 later this month - though no exact date has been given.
Based on an anonymous, trusted inside source, which obviously I can't divulge, the beta will be launching later this month on September 27. It's not known whether this means that the people who purchased Medal of Honor's Limited Edition will get earlier access on September 25.
Keep in mind that this date has not been confirmed by EA or DICE, but the date has been bandied about to me by more than one source and I wouldn't be surprised if this was the date for the open beta.
Is September 27 a good beta date for you? Keep in mind that BF3 will be out on October 25, so depending on how long DICE wants us to participate in their multiplayer test, we could be playing it until a few days before launch time.
