not to mention deneb ipc was very close to what intel's first gen i7's offer, even winning in some benchmarks. That's why they were being offered for $250 instead of like $100 like fx.

Also 4 cores 4 threads was a lot in 2009, a gamer could not possibly want more back then. That made the i7's even less attractive

no but i originally bought the fx 6300 and have been using it for 4+years until i finally switched to an i7 2600
