Not sure what i would do after that lol, the trinity rescue kit seems pretty straight forward with the tools it has

Any Linux LIVE CDS (USB stick) is a way to run Linux on your computer, without having to install it.. As a side advantage, it also allows you to do things, you can't do in Windows. Like edit the SAM files where your passwords are stored.
Like when a person sets an Administrator password, it gets stored in the SAM files. IF there was a way to edit those files, you could change the password, etc.

Because Linux is a separate operating system, you CAN edit those files. This means you can change the administrator password to w/e you want. :)

In effect, what you'll be doing is accessing normally unaccessable SAM files, by using Linux to do so. They cannot be accessed via Windows.

Yeah. It'll be a different file system. You may have to find a tutorial for that, as Windows uses NTFS file system and Linux doesn't.

Yeah... and you'll want to follow the 64 bit directions. You can make sure it's 64 bit by checking the "properties" on This PC or w/e they're calling "My Computer" in Windows... these days. ;)
