the problem here is everything is more expensive relative to what? D2? Runescape? Why do Rotmg, D2, and Runescape (or any other game) have to have a standardized fg/hour rate?
People don't have to sell a def potion for 30 fg they're just afraid because everybody else is. If people only sold them at 40 then the price would be fine.

if there are 30 sellers and 4 buyers, the price will never remain stable at 40fg. 26 sellers will have 0 sales, and thus be encouraged to lower the price of their inventory and attract the 4 buyers to them. this is pretty basic stuff.

I want you to do a simple experiment:

Sit in USWest for 60 seconds and count the number of times you see any variation of the term Selling. "S>" "For Sale" etc. Repeat this procedure with "Buying" "B> " etc. I guarantee you there are more sellers than buyers by at least a factor of 5.

This results in prices being competitively lowered until an equilibrium is reached.

If there were more buyers than sellers, the reverse would be true and prices would raise as inventory cannot keep up with demand.

There are no retards that came along and ruined "your" precious market.

if you can make more FG per hour playing ROTMG than you can by playing d2 or runescape and there's such an easy system to trade currencies through games, then it makes more sense to play madgod and build up some wealth there

the difference is so vastly different that you could have made about 10 times as much per hour on average on ROTMG on your 2nd day than you could on RS after several months of building up your account.. that's just way too much of a difference for people NOT to come on this game and build wealth

I guarantee that if they redesigned the nexus mechanic to operate under the same conditions as /pause(You can't pause if there are enemies nearby; this would remove the "get out of jail" feel to the nexus hotkey), we would see a lot more deaths, and thus a lot more demand for potions.

And you can make 10 times as much per hour on rs than you could on d2, my point was the the economies don't have to correspond and it makes sense for rotmg to have premium pricing compared to other games because there is much more demand items in the game than in others (lose all of your stuff is a pretty big part of the game compared to d2)

I blame ammys.

Actually what am I saying, its a simple flash game. People take this shit too serious as if its a huge blizzard made game or something. With 2 people devoloping the game we run out of content quick. No content, no deaths.
