Yeah even a 5 second lag can kill you. I had a REALLY bad lag once on one of my potted necs. It seriously was over 20 seconds. I tried closing the browser window, and eventually just force shut down my comp. Went from full health at the fringe of godlands to dead by an undead dwarf. Wasn't too happy to stay the least. :S

lost a Priest last night to literally a split second lag glitch, barely even noticeable lag glitch
but after that twitch of a spike Medusa was there with a shotgun full of green lasers and a bomb landing on my head
Where did she even come from like that, in such a fast instance :headscratch:
No lose other then a Fantastic+1hp Roll - first positive roll in 5 days

Sounds like you didnt have your cursor on open ground. Depending on where its hovering you cant cloak. I dont think things like pillars prevent it, but outside of where you can walk will.
Game probably does this because of the UT cloak. Not too troublesome once you know whats preventing you from cloaking.
