You dont need gear. Hit 20, then go to godlands and follow around 2-3 other people with auto attack on. Focus mostly on dodging and a tiny bit on aiming. You dont need to solo to get drops and people even toss out their scraps all the time too. Purple/blue bags can only be seen by you so dont rush to pick them up.
