Yep, and imo there are some classes that don't even require the "extra mana". With max wis and decent pet some classes like.. Warrior? There are others too. Only few which I love extra mana specially are rogue and knight.
edit: Also I had more 7/8's way back then. When there were ammys etc, mana pots were 1mana = 1def or so..
edit2: Proof here:

My favorites for extra mana are wizard, knight, and rogue. I could see ninja benefitting from it as well but yeah you are totally correct. Also I know the prices of the golden age of rotmg

it's when I began playing lol when I took a break I had put all my wealth into owning 25 ammys. I came back to find they had become worthless. I won't lie though I'm glad the mana pot rose in price... It's hard as fuck to get them and def are easy as hell.

Yeah, I'm just working on 8/8ing my Knight for longer Godlands runs mainly - and because I want to say I've done it.
Gotten more fame on this character than any of my previous ones with hardly any fame training, so I want him to survive as long as possible.
I run Abysses more than anything with him for def/vit farming, and I hardly ever have to Nexus from them.
If anything the extra HP will help me out when rushing to the boss so I can tank some more of those White Demon hits.
...because sometimes they can knock you down really quickly.
Oh for sure

I did the same thing on my necro

it was my first 8/8 and also my first hero over 1k base fame. It's kinda sad it just gathers dust now but necro just isn't needed very much. Oh well it's a trophy in the fact it's been alive for nearly 3 years!
