+1, my experience too.
Yes. The 8/8 difference is only ~100hp or even more. But after all you are not supposed to get that low hp anyway. And the more powerful pet you get, the less you really need the extra little hp. If you are about to die to some crazy shotgun you'll die anyway no matter if you ahve 700 or 800hp, usually. I prefer myself have many 6/8's or 7/8's instead of 8/8.
Agreed completely! If 100hp is the difference between life and death you should probably examine what you did to get into the situation to start with. I personally nexus on all my characters as soon as I reach around 40% hp. On my huntress that comes out to be around 360hp but for my wizard that's only 280. This leaves me with enough HP to survive 4-5 more decent hits before death but doesn't have me using nexus prematurely. Obviously there is only so much you can control but the16-20 life pots I saved by not maxing it can completely cover rebuilding for the rip.
Also most people only consider the character worthwhile if they pay for themselves and then some. Earning back the potions to get to 6/8 takes about 1/3 the time of earning back an 8/8. More often than not my heros die before they ever find 50L worth of stuff but 20L isn't nearly as bad.
I will say I like 7/8 heros much more and would definitely suggest maxing mana just because it's always nice to have extra casts of your ability.
Just my opinion of course but it's definitely taken me some time to decide 8/8s are more for when you literally can't find things to spend your wealth on rather than when you just began playing. Like to the point where you even have most of the skins purchased lol.
On that note: once my 8/8 necro dies I probably won't have another 8/8 for quite a while. The only reason I even have the necro is he is from way back before ammys changed and he hasn't died lol
