I loved pally before the buff. They were pretty safe imo. Yes more dodging which seems like a lot more work, but that's where the fun is. I haven't really played one at all since the buff. They do seem a lot tankier though which means I am going to have to change my play style on them a lot.
Pally's base def is actually higher than war now just the def from helm makes war a bit more tanky. With that constant hp buff from seal now though, it's really debatable.
Main point on lowest defense was that, if you are used to playing knight, you can ignore most of damage coming because they are low, as pally they hit you still pretty hard.
