You are usually able to pause in the boss room. Sometimes you can't, and have to find another room.

I feel like it spawns more monsters if there is someone paused in the pause room but it might just be me lol

They do in other rooms close to the room you paused in.

No such thing as dealing too much damage is there?
Also what's the best advice to getting 8/8?

Too much damage? not really. Technically it could prevent other weaker peeps from getting loot, but that aint your problem.

Best safe way isn't the most fun way, but basically do easy stuff like sprite worlds and trade off the extra dex for whatever other pots you need. I did this once and it wasn't too bad. Got all my life from trading dex to def, then def to life.

The more enjoyable way(in my opinion at least) is to pot whatever you find as you go. Farm mostly godlands until you have max or near max def. Do the dungeons you are confident with as they pop up. You should be able to get a few stats maxed out this way. At that point trade for life pots or risk it getting them yourself.

Def is important, but most stats are really important. Speed, dex, attack either improve your ability to dodge or make the fight shorter to take less damage.

What's the best way to get gear in game?

I doubt I'll be able to farm past a certain point is that when I start using extra potions I find to trade for gear?
Or is it possible to play using decent gear i.e.:
T7 Staff
T11 Armor
T5 Magic Nova
T4 Vit Ring

Been getting disconnected a lot today.
And when I try to log back in (I usually just exit flash projector and get back into it) I get stuck on the loading screen until I get tired of waiting and then close flash projector again.
Anyone else getting this?

e: Just logged back in after a disconnect and I have a life potion back in my inventory that I just traded right before.
I traded 2 life vs. 16 def and drank them as I go. 8 of the def stuck, but now the other 8 have been unpotted and I have a life pot back.
Weird...
Realmeye even showed me as having drank them all, but upon logging back in and refreshing it took me back down 8.
