It was probably oncoming wc server, there were twinstars twinlord etc etc. They went to shatters and I went to Ghost King. It was like almost finished ghost king and after I hit few times realm shut down ^^

Well just had the most retarded rip Ive ever had in this game thus far....

A few friends and I were inside LoD. We were about half way through the black boss when I noticed a little lag, so I went into the back left corner to let it pass. Rubber band lag begins and 3 seconds later I get death screen. Literally all my friends said the boss was nowhere near me the entire time and my grave had appeared in the corner behind the pillar.

Way to go kabam you killed off my 6/8 wizard without even touching it.

u should always close game when rubberbanding occurs and u're in a dangerous spot
enemy bullets will pass through obstacles and have an expanded lifespan


were treassure rooms in manor removed?!

If hit detection was 100% client side, you would be able to do godmode.
Your can't Kabam do anything right, would be either giving us the ability to godmode hack, or if there was any discrepancy to DC you immediately.

I'm not sure if I'd rather just nexus if I notice the lag. Or get DCed all the time when my ping spikes.
Kidding I would rather leave.

actually the desync has alot to do with how the evade modifier is calculated in PoE. The server double checks itself and if there is a difference between the server and the client it can lead to the server having you located in one area while your client shows you elsewhere. regardless the desyncs in PoE can be ridiculously extreme... Last year I lost a 300$ ranger when I desynced through 3 unconnected rooms into a pack of blue mobs.

Either way the fact that lag gives bullets the ability to go through obstacles is bullshit in and of itself. regardless of lag or not they should end when they hit the obstacle.

interesting. My explanation was slightly off but had the main points. The post said dmg could interrupt the movement sent by the client resulting in the character not reaching the target. It just makes me wonder why diablo 2/3 didnt have these rubber band desycns... I wonder what the differences in their systems are.

Back to rotmg though.... Id be willing to bet that a large chunk of the lag issues (especially ones stemming from oryx) could be reduced if kabam would take the time/effort to go through the coding that was in place prior to them acquiring the game. There really is no reason for oryx lag to even exist.
