my best guess is switch your kongregate account to a web account, and then use the method mentioned by Vuma where you import your web account to steam.

buts its the other way
steam only imports kongregate accounts
so if u play on webbrowser or flash projector, u have to import ur account to kongregate first

i guess kake just got me wrong



u dont have to log in on kongregate with ur old account
after registration on kong, just click "accounts" in main menu and import original account
now u have to enter ur usual email and pw

this is not true. I played on flash player for the first 5 months then switched to steam when I got a new comp.
never been to kongregates website or had to do anything like this.

i've always just played in browser, until ~5 months ago when i switched to using flash projector all the time. flash projector works really stable for me.

Appreciate the help, but I still cant seem to be able to do it. VumA I may still be misunderstanding you, but I dont think I am. I'll try to explain.

In the wildshadow/support link Suuu gave I clicked on "How to use Kongregate account on the realmofthemadgod site" and it says "Sorry, this is not allowed."

Problem is on Kongregate there isnt any account info its all done by the kongregate site log in. Now in the past I was able to use a flash projector with the kongregate account and if I remember correctly, I had to follow a long list of steps to find some kind of hidden account info or something. I can look into that, but was really trying to avoid doing that again since this time I probably wasnt going to play as much and wanted to save time.

I might as well stop being a lazy bitch and try to pull the hidden kongregate info tho. Hopefully it works.

.... so i've created some new accounts and checked, wether it still works or not and all went fine

first i created a new web account on rotmg and played a bit
i registered on kongregate and played rotmg on kong bit
now u go to the title menu of rotmg, while on kong
click accounts, click replace with an existing web account, enter ur usual login details (not the kongregate login details)
ur account will be imported... in title menu its says logged in as "choosen kong name" , but when i start playing, my chars are named like my web account and all chars where imported
now u open rotmg with steam
click accounts in title menu again
now u can choose between
-replace this account with an existing web account
-register this account to play in webbrowser

u choosed the first one ofc
now u enetr again ur web-rotmg login details, not the kongregate one
should be done now


if u are still struggling pm me ur issue.. i still dont know at which point u're experiencing problems

Thats the problem, I never created an account on the website. I started on Kongregate and they use some hidden game ID and authentication system which complicates things. With a firefox addon you can see what the hidden stuff is and I thought I could use this info to somehow log into steam, but then I realized steam still requires an email when logging in and kongregate doesnt use that at all.

I think its time to throw in the towel and just use a flash projector. Since I pulled all the info I'm halfway there. Not as bad the second time doing this. I still appreciate the help tho.

yeah... now i see the problem

afaik its not possible to transfer an account which was created with kong due to kong rules / terms... they want to keep u playing at kong
