Jurman's comment is incorrect.

Say you have a 50/43 pet and a 50/47 pet

Fuse them together and you will get a 50/45 pet (max will be 70/70 still)

The only difference from fusing these 2 not 100% maxed pets compared to fusing 2 50/50 pets, is that the second ability will average between the 2 (resulting in level 45 from 43 and 47) and you will have to use A TON more feed power to reach max.

Also you will need more fame, since the fame per feed increases per tier obviously.

------(When maxing 2 not 100% maxed pets, the feed power required to hit *max* of the next tier increases GREATLY!!)-----

IE: 70/70 and 70/70 fused needs --- approximately 235k feed power 1st ability and 250k feed power 2nd ability to hit 90/90/?. Third ability needs approximately 655k feed power to hit 90/90/90 in this scenario.

70/63 and 70/67 fused needs --- approximately 235k feed power 1st ability and 325k feed power (75k Increase) 2nd ability to hit 90/90/?. Third ability needs approximately 750k (95k Increase) feed power to hit 90/90/90 in this scenario.

I used rare-legendary as an example so that you can see, the 3rd ability is also affected by this.

Also, with the fame per feed cost increasing (100 fame @ rare ---- to 350 fame @ legendary) if you plan on maxing out its alot more efficient to 100% max each tier.

The only tier that i can see not getting 100% maxed before fuse, would be legendary - divine fuse. Most people aren't going to hit 100/100/100. (if anyone lol) So if you want to get your divine pet and still have 100 as possible max, just fuse at 90/?/?
----Atleast this would be the easiest way to actually get a divine pet that still has 100/100/100 as a possibility IMO.

If you are a perfectionist though, as i stated above, the most efficient way would be to get 90/90/90 on both pets before fuse though.

Hope this helps clear up a few things for people. Sorry if its confusing more so in anyway. Send me a PM if you need further information on the topic!

Tealeaves, i see your point for adding the points to both abilities at once, instead of having 1 ability maxed and not getting the feed.

BUT, when one ability is maxed the 2nd (and once you get legendary+) the 3rd ability as well, will recieve higher bonus's off of each feed (when you have 3 abilities and you feed your pet, say an Ambrosia, not all abilities actually get 5k feed power)

I know this is gonna be really really confusing to alot of people, but when you actually pay attention to the points (according to realmeye atleast) youll notice the 2nd and 3rd abilities dont receive 100% of the feed power from an item, unless 1st abilty or 2nd ability is already @ max)

do u have any source for this?
i'd disagree with feedcost increase to max third ability on a legendary... it always starts from lvl 1, whether u fuse maxed rares or rares with just first ability maxed...

bleh, for some reason i can't edit my own post's.

but yeah. i know they always start @ level 1.

But it does change, look at some of the top pets on the leader boards, and you will notice HEAVY differences between 3rd ability overall MAX cost. (This is in both legendary and divine tier)

My realmeye BTW is Sharrdar (sorry i forgot my jsp name was different now that i use a different account in RoTMG)

Oh? Didn't know that. I always maxed my pets fully, but someone showed me that video. I guess it's really only for those who want to unlock the new sprite on rare and don't have much funds. I will test it on another pet I am maxing. Almost got 2 uncommons to 50 on their first skill.

Yeah Tealeaves, it really just depends on what your ultimate goal with that pet is ....

If you plan on completely going for max and getting divine ... then its best to max.

If your just wanting to get it leveled up and fuse for quickness (especially 1-70) then you only need first ability to max out.

That way you can do it with the least ammount of fame/feed for the early levels, but it will come back to bite later on.

If your just trying to get different sprites then obviously it does not matter at all.

A lot of people do not have the resources to do it. Yes maybe they can fame farm, but all those uts which are now sb? Not everyone duped.

i dont even play much or have a mass of duped items to feed but I have a 60+ rare pet and working on uncommons atm in the meantime with lower feed items. I usually only feed 300+ items to rare+ and 150+ to my uncommons. I never had that much fame to begin with either

getting max rare isnt very difficult, wait till you go for the legendary pet yard, and start feeding legendary pet. thats when it starts to get stupid

I am guessing you are the one with 2x legendary pets since your profile is private, and I know you are in homie. How the hell did you get to legendary so fast? O_o
