I have mixed emotions about the UT situation.

I only have so much room in my vault, after all, and the really interesting UT items generally come from the realm and not the dungeons. Which the realm is still on pre 10.0 UT drop rates.

So it can be a pain sometimes, but at least I have a pet I can feed sharp objects to nowadays :lol:

yeah the whole vault space sucks, never thought of that, but in my case i probably wouldnt have to worry bout that problem bahaha

to be honest its both good and bad, more so good though ....
some uts are ridiculously rare and game breaking for some classes that it sucks for them .....(for example, priest without a single UT, is pretty lame at the moment. priest heals < pet heals and SB is already hard to get without ut's ..... also mystic since its alot harder to get SB without conflict, specially for a class with low dps to begin with ... rogues can try and try again and never get cronus, with its incredibly low drop rate ....) just to name a few ....
but on the upside .. it does make the game slightly harder i guess. less noobs will be running around with BIS items for their class ... and future drops will make you feel like you actually earned something, once alot of the duped items fade out.

TL:DR

All in all, it has its upsides and its downsides, but i lean slightly towards ut's being SB.

I know this is sort of off-topic, but the super low drop rate of certain UTs combined with the fact that they used to be tradable, and that they are now SB means people who cached them will have a distinct advantage, until the previously duped stocks dry up (which they won't from suppliers, as the mules will have no use for the SBs).

What would you guys think of something like a UT transmuting system, like with ladder slasher, where something like 2 UTs of level x can be randomly transmuted into a UT of the same level. . . or does this defeat the purpose of having specific classes that are good at specific bosses? I'm not insinuating it's a good idea; I was just curious. Also, I think they need new non-realm UTs if they're keeping SB, as there is little incentive to do dungeons for the most part, and the narrow range of class-defining UTs narrows the variability of play.

I dont like that idea, tbh they should just "fix" the dupe and alot of other things. I'm kinda looking forward too trading rare and legendary eggs on jsp. I also wanna dump these uts for lifes, its kinda whack its been this long with sb. Makes you think that they are just dicking around and not even looking for a fix. They seem to be very lackadaisical about all this

I don't know, man. If I want to dick around with a Bulwark just for shits and giggles, I want to be able to trade to get it, not have to do a million snake pits.

My stance: The most fun I ever had in Realm was USING my items and DOING things, not gaining them. At one point in my Realm playing, maybe it was a different story, but I can't remember that time; it's been a long time since I started.

Once I got to the point of having several 8/8s and being able to pot up another if any of them died, gaining more and more items/pots became less and less fun for me. Doing tombs, specifically rushing them on any class, was the most fun I had. All of my loot went to the one who opened unless someone needed help rebuilding, to ensure that they didn't lose out on the tomb and because I have no need for it.

On a casual free to play game like Realm, I don't want to have to spend more countless hours to get an item to have fun when I have the means of getting it other ways because I spent countless hours before. I want to jump on and have fun.

The specific items I'm thinking of are Coral/Doom bows, Dblades, EP, and Bulwark, but they all have their place (except Ghostly Prism. If the bomb were a decoy, it'd be viable, otherwise... Garbage).

dont have charslots left to test this myself and i dont want to loose this achievement with my potted chars...
