None of this is self-confirmed, just what I've heard from mostly reliable sources, but:

Most, if not all* of the unreleased UT ninja stuff was given to Tomb Raiders** for winning one of Kabam's stupid contests. Each member got to pick one ninja item and they all of course picked the unreleased stuff. Midnight Star is the unreleased Shuriken.

*The two katana are also rumored to drop from the new event/dungeon.
**The winning vid included a few non-TR people who also got the reward.
