Release 8: Happy Holidays!

(We're having a few technical difficulties, which is why you're seeing our test pattern. The new release will be available shortly.)

This is our final release this year (and maybe ever if the Mayan calendar thing turns out to be right). Today's release includes:

Better Package linking and internal fixes
More flexible character skin functionality
Anti-spam bot measures
Connection bug fix (at least partial; we'll be monitoring it as this may have nailed the whole thing)

And last but not least:

Special skins and pets that we'll be releasing in packages during the holidays. Each will be purchasable for a limited time only (but once you've bought them you'll keep them even after the holidays are over).
