I hear ya. Definitely don't get too casual with it on boss packs. Ripped my first hybrid on NM meph because of poor res and got zapped by the lighting herky jerky move he does. I'd say decent resists, maybe some DR, and any amount of CB will make meph runs a breeze (assuming life tap on, Merc poking, and traps trapping)

Yeah, playing rather safely. Nightmare is really doable for me though. Got high resistance with Burst of Speed, never using Fade

Bored of nm, HELL TIME!!! ... XD



This is quite easy. 4K dmg traps does quite some vs those Not lightning resistance buggers. Cleared den without a problem!





Got level 76 in cold plains. Still breezing





THIS IS A NIGHTMARE! Zombies were Lightning immune. Skeletons were lightning immune. Merc could handle 2-3 of those mobs with cloak of shadows on them. 4 or more I had to cast Life tap so he'd stay alive and all I could do was stand idle by and watch. Drop a death sentry sometimes but that was all. This took around 30min-45min to clear stony field...

Cloak of shadows and life tap are so insanely nessecary for me to proceed. I'm quite anxious to push forward. Think ill do untill black marsh and rush countess on /p1 a couple of times. Dunno :S





Jup, merc died even with life tap active almost instantly in tristram. Pressed cain and escaped even faster than that old bugger. Reward was worthless





And lvl 77. Just got out of nightshift so am gonne pause and stop here before I make some dumb mistakes and die.

Every move so far in hell = move 5 yards, place in a circle around me 5 traps. See if one shoots and cast Cloak of shadows there and place 4 new traps around that 1 trap that goes off. Slowly walk forward and cast shadow in front. This shit's scary af!

Ehm, it does. You can shop them. I believe from act3 and later. Althought nm has a higher chance.

War boots/myrmidon greaves will give best kick damage :) Upped Gores or Shadow Dancers are BiS for kicks, I believe.

If you found some nice rare greaves/war boots you could always up them in the cube! Upped Goblin Toe would probably work okay with that 25% CB but the base physical damage won't be as good.

A really fun hybrid build I tried with sin last ladder was Dragon Tail + traps. Needs a lot of gozu gear to really shine though.

Haha I’m glad you see the danger level. I encourage you to have psychic hammer or mind blast on hand for when you get rushed by a pack to fend them off and keep them at bay.

Yeah, am looking out for nice boots! Perhaps I'll upgrade my mf boots to Mirrored boots to see how it goes: 50-145 kick dmg and 163strenght required. No crushing blow though. So won't be as helpful as hybrid build yet I think.. will think about it. Don't rly like to go the Fire blast way unless it's really required.

Good thinking! I hadnt considered using the might merc to increase the damage against light immunes!

For treachery isnt it better to have a higher level treachery when it gets activated by the armor? I usually run around with fade on already but mine is only level 6 or something so the level 15 from treachery is nice when it gets activated because it gives more res and dr%

I like having these chats to help me understand the assassin strategy more

yeah I use my own lvl 6 fade in hell. And hope to get hit without dying to increase it to lvl 15 XD My fire resistance is still low so cannot walk into firehouse to activate it ^^
I do aswell. I have never played trap assassin. Have played d2 quite alot so know quite some basics. But playing a char makes all the difference.

For now: SAFETY and! MFing countess Hell XD

I'm lucky aswell XD
