I'm not saying it is causing less uniques, I'm saying all of the chances will clash and the 3 others (magic, set, and rare) will happen more often because they require less magic find to drop.

Not saying what you are saying is wrong, but I have experimented intensely on the amount of magic find.
over 2 years worth on battle.net in p8 games.

You are reading the chart wrong. It doesn't even meassure drops, it meassures effectice mf with mf.

But since we are blindly trusting charts made in paint with any other proof to support it...

The thing is you are missunderstanding. The game doesn't "load" items that way. The base item is chosen, then it checks from Uniq down to White items. More mf wont decrease the amount of uniqs you find, it could however make your character weak enough that the total amount of uniqs dropped over time decreases compared to a faster killing character with less mf.

Bosses also work differently and there's diminishing returns with mf which is exactly what that chart says!

Ok, found what i was saying.
This was the chart i was looking for, found it in my 5th period, went ahead and did some math.
The math i did was just to find the chance to find rares/sets/uniques, since magic find is obvious

and i didnt cath the winky face lol, was reading quickly before my teacher saw my phone haha

By that you mean with 688 mf 76% of every drop is a rare or set? Or...? What does it apply to? Bosses, super uniques, uniques? Normal monsters?

Where does it say uniq items become less frequent?

Each calculator has a 1% increase of rares/sets dropping
which makes the %chance of a unique drop by 1% with every 100 magic find.
this is for all monsters except bosses (I think)
and no, with 688 mf, the chances of a rare/set to drop is 76%, and only a 24% chance of a unique to drop.

It's relevant to the thread so don't worry. And where does this decline start? At what mf? It's not right, you are forgetting normal magic items aswell. It doesn't take anything away from uniq drops
