Cute option would be an infinity for your merc, since conviction lowers enemie's def a lot, but will be very hard to get the runes.
Maybe ure able to find a fleshripper, then you could max poison dagger (without synergies ofc) for ar purposes. This skill gives an insane ar boost.
Or use merc with blessed aim ^^
