I don't even know what you're talking about anymore. The "If you can't play the game the way I think you should, you might as well use HE and load a lvl 99 with gz items."-argument is not mine, its yours; you guys who defend it like religious people defend religion. And again, can't stress this enough, I don't care if you use it. I always followed good WTs regardless and people with plugy could always compete in farmathon.
What I don't understand are the comparisons. You guys compare being able to edit d2 files manually with hero editors but fail to see the irony in the "I have a life so I don't mind using XX"-argument.
I don't have a beef with anyone here and I don't want to. I think it's a misunderstanding of what some people's viewpoints, with regards to PlugY, truly are.
My take away so far is this:
People who dislike PlugY don't like the way the mod changes the game. Some even try to say the mod in itself is a cheat. I see cheating as not being transparent and lying.
Some comments in this thread has also suggested that PlugY users are somehow more susceptible to cheating. Correlation is not causation.
I do have a "life" - career, wife, family, other interests; much like many in this sub forum do - so because I choose to play D2 with the additions that PlugY has to offer, this is somehow frowned upon by some? How I choose to play this old game should not impact someone so much. But it seemingly does.
People who like/use PlugY: we like the way PlugY changes the game and don't understand why that bothers the PlugY haters.
I guess at this point most will just have to agree to disagree. I don't feel threads like these are constructive or promote unity in a shrinking community.
Sorry for the novel. I hate writing this much.
