i mean look at some of this lol

goblin toe? draculs? string?

its not only overkill on CB but its severely lacking in resists among other things

I would like to see better options for increment in damage. I've been through the entire arsenal of D2 items cross-referenced and found nothing better. Please, feel free to contribute more info on what you will use, and with more calculations presented you will see you are only crippling the build.

As TheBe said, this is a pure DPS calculation. Factors such as resistance and survival overall aren't even mentioned because anyone who's done 1-2 UTs by now knows how to survive with 0% resistance.

And while on the side note, a few resistance jewels and charms will get you stacked regardless, as well as the notion of using Salvation against Mephisto (Another reason why Grief > Last Wish, the added %IAS) and Fanaticism against Diablo & Baal.

i guess, but with LW you literally can just point and click the whole way through just about, no fancy strategy needed

if i had a pure smiter i would probably opt for Astreons but we'll say Last Wish

LW with 70%CB with lvl 17 might aura +200% ED
Giant skull socketed with 40/9s 80%ED
Fortitude 300% ED
upped Hoz(cham)
dracs
upped gores
arachs
highlords
2 bk rings

im sure the damage wouldnt be shabby 95% CB, 35% OW, 50% DS

Ds doesn't even work with smite. And the damage would still be low when compared to grief build. And like Synonym noted, with grief pb you can use salv against meph while still hitting the fastest smite speed, which you cannot do with lw.

The damage would still be higher than with lw. And thats only if needed. If not, then you ofcourse go with fana.

can you prove that with grief + salvation

vs Last wish with fanat?

ill put it like this, if you were to use only ONE item on your uber character

and naked with everything else outside of shield

what would you use?

Cracked shortsword.

because i want to say that if you wore last wish and a shield you could kills just abount anything if you can close distance quick enough

there was a guide on diablo.incgamer.forums about a frenzy build and it talked about caster weapons(Lacerator, Lawbringer, Last Wish)

and he basically said if you want safety Last Wish is unbeatable, but if you want raw speed Lacerator is the best

theoretically you could use Lacerator to amp ubers and and use grief to finish them off even faster
