Not really the technical answer I was looking for. Literally nothing technical about restating my question. What build makes you lack enough resistances that you need to use these boots. Is that a better question? I don't PVP so is it only PVP characters that need this or a sepcific type of build calls for them or what? I swear if another person responds like Lilith0 or tehtwitchy they're getting reported.

Hmm, let's see... a javazon comes to mind.

Helm: Griffons for sure. No resists on that.
Armor: Enigma for sure. No resists on that.
Belt: Arachnids, maybe, or some crafted blood belt or something... possibly tgods. But whatever it is, likely no resists there.
Rings: Sojs, probably.. no resists.
Weapon: Titans. No resists.
Gloves: Maybe a single resist on 2/20 gloves, if a good one.

So... you have amulet (Maras) but the best amulet for a javazon would be Highlords... and a shield, either stormshield or spirit or 20/20 faceted jmod. Not a lot of resists unless you choose to use maras. Charms are pretty much where you get all your resists. Of course you want tri-rez boots for sure.

I've oftened wondered, I hardly ever use rare items on my characters unless they include magic find and have better stats than uniques. What's the idea behind tri resistance boots?

If a character struggles with resist in a pub ie. cold sorc and trapper in game and wants to maintain max res on wsg side
In most 1v1 cases I do think other options are usually better but helps with cold stack and vs all of several elements are in game especially before when Anya bug existed max res on wsg side at all times with stack was maybe more tricky for some.
