make it a pain in the ass then. Oba's Trove is harder than Atziri.

I mean the whole process of opening the portals is just expensive and protracted. That's what takes away from the reward factor. When you have to spend an ex to get in there and then be lucky to get an ex out of it... that's bad

The end-game content should not be a currency sink.

End game content isn't a currency sink.

A currency sink would be something like a vendor interaction - Link Zana - She eats or destroys two chaos orbs or w/e to add a mod.

The exchanging of currency for endgame portal keys - Like uber sets is the exchange of currency for another item -- rotating currency through players -- But as the player uses the keys it becomes an item sink.

---

A proper way to put it would be investing an exalt into a "portal key venture" in order to gain more desirable thus expensive and valuable gear -- But the portal key venture usually have a negative effect on your investment -- Thus it is undesirable content to tackle or in other words obsolete and un-used.

End game content is a currency sink if RNG is not on your side.

Look at Uber Atziri or shaper runs. You need to either buy the fragments or be extremely lucky and just find them / farm them out.

Not saying i don't disagree as I'd rather farm for them, but there is an argument there. If your RNG really sucks, some players just buy the fragments (currency sink) and do the runs and get no returns (becomes an even worse currency sink)

Ctrain is referring to the correct meaning of the term "currency sink".

Whether you profit or not from doing certain content does not make something a currency sink. It might sink YOUR currency, but it doesn't actually sink currency.

Zana mods are currency sinks. Chaosing items is a currency sink. The currency is destroyed on use meaning there is less of that currency on the entire server now. Currency sinks are very important in economy-based games otherwise servers would get flooded after a few years.

I'm glad you can distort the definition of currency sinking

E: also you're wrong. He said "End game content isn't a currency sink.", he's specifically talking about end game content (shaper, uber atizir, etc). Obviously Zana mods are currency sinks as well

End game content is not a currency sink, it generates currency in fact.

To do certain end game content is a currency sink. I already explained above my reasoning
