hi im on windows 7 ultimate, how do i get diablo 2 lod to work? i've installed it etc but i click it, it just gives me weird letters on the top left corner of my screen. my task manager shows game.exe running... help!!

I never received any error on mine. Try un-installing then re-installing diablo 2: LoD.. Start from regular Diablo 2 and then add in the expansion pack. make sure you follow every step and Do the Full Download of Diablo. After that, try diablo 2 and make sure it works, then install the expansion.. Another thing, try running diablo in a window.

just right click the properties and where it says "Target", at the end of the file extension put "-w" (no "").

It should look like this: "C:\[omitted]\Diablo II\Diablo II.exe" -w

thats all the help i can give. Also try looking on the blizzard website for further tech support.

I had this happen before, I can't remember what I did. Try changing the compatibility to Windows XP SP3. Post here with your results.

diablo works like a charm when i put it in windows mode "-w" , i pvp a lot so i need to get this in full mode

so if i understand you right your d2 start but isn't working properly?

imo you could try to reinstall

alright i got it to work in full mode but its NOT taking up my entire laptop screen?

tbh its easier to pvp with a window b/c your computer analyses the same graphics in a smaller area, allowing it to run faster

I find it runs laggier in full-screen
