This is simple, just follow these instructions:Go to "My Computer"
Then go to the "Local Disk (C)" Drive
Then go to program files
Then go to Diablo II
Search in that folder for the D2 Vidtest (may have other names like Video Test, etc.)
Run the video test.
When the test is complete, it will ask you to play in Direct3D or DirectDraw
Simply select DirectDraw instead and there you go!
Take Note -- On some computers it will just start right up, but on some it will take a little bit (like 2-5 minutes?)
It will show a little black box with white symbols in it on the top left of your computer screen BEFORE it opens.
From what i noticed it shows all computer keys and symbols.
If you are experiencing the above when trying to run Diablo 2 you need to do the following:Right click your Diablo 2 icon and go to properties. Now go to the compatibility tab and you should see the following image:
Make sure your compatibility section looks exactly like the image above and you should no longer have to wait for Diablo to start up!
If changing the compatibility section does not work for you, you can always run Diablo in windows mode, which will start instantly as well.
