Well I have windows 07, though I got a virus and it's slowing the fuck out of my computer.
I've been told it's a hijack virus etc...

I cant system restore.
I have the windows vista home premium box, though would downgrading have a problem?

I also have windows live one care box, but idk what that's for.

Some questions I have:
Is downgrading going to get rid of the virus?
Is it going to act like a reimage? (wipe hard drive)
Can I do it?

It really depends what local disk the virus is located. I suggest getting rid of it, before upgrading.
Download spybot search & destroy along with Avast/Malwarebytes antivirus and remove it ;)

It's not like one of those easy things to get rid of...
Not like spywear...

Some things it did:

Deleted my Host file (got back)
Tampered with a hell of a lot of things, like im in windows 2000 mode (when I was in 07 mode) cant change my background, cant do system restore
I already had a pro virus guy come on my computer and do a shit load of stuff, but because it's a hijack virus, they just keep comming back....

Btw, I'm downgrading.

would be much easier to just install avast anti virus and do a boot time scan, that'll clear more or less anything, then do malwarebytes scan, and do another avast scan whilst pc is properly booted, should clear anything you can come up with :)

hell of a lot easier than downgrading as win systems don't like letting you do that without a clean instal

This link might help you kind mike1234545 sir:

http://forums.d2jsp.org/info.php?p=51

You should first try to download a few anti virus programs and analyse whether or not you want to downgrade or not. Also, you might want to restart your machine followed by the insertion of your factory reboot CD. If you do not have the CD, then downgrading will remove the virus depending on whether or not you completely eradicate your "Windows 7" files.

TY kind mike1234545 sir of D2JSP; I hope my information can help you a bit and good luck.

You can't "downgrade" - but you can do a complete reformat to a different operating system such as Windows Vista - Yes that would completely 100% get rid of your virus problem.

Best bet is to pay the $90 to some computer specialist to get it removed.
Or pay for a very reliable virus removal software which will, overall, probably cost more keeping that software updated.

Just dish some cash out and get it fixed, and STOP looking at porno.

EDIT: and honestly, if you want your computer to be faster, I'd actually recommend getting rid of Vista and putting an older windows, but not too old onto it. Vista is such a memory hog. Just the bare memory used to operate Vista is a fairly large chunk of your actual computer memory. The older windows used much less memory to operate
