yeah, and really good, too.

red and spanish onions.


had some fish salting almost a week now, gonna prepare it tomorrow. B)

at first i was wondering wtf are you doing eating "days old raw fish."

i see, you salt it. you wash the salt off afterwards or is it just lightly salted?

no, its heavily salted. i give it a quick rinse to wash off the extra.

ive been making this at work whenever we have extra salmon, which is pretty much whenever we order it since we either order too much or the supplier just sends us extra cuz they can.  i dont mind though, this stuff is awesome.

first i salt it for a few days with salt and crushed red pepper (like gravlax but without pressing it)

then i slice and mix with oil and onions similar to schmaltz herring, but i also add dill and lemon zest for an extra burst of flavors that just pair so well with salmon (and some extra crushed red pepper).  eat on some crackers and zomg so good....

add a couple of capers to this if u putting on crackers ect but looks tempting but dont like fishahaha nice culinary skills :)
