anyone got any ideas for what to try out
I tried strafe and kicks and whatnot, but they're already fast in d2
with only items that exist in game (ie no +63 burst of speed / level 31 aura on equipped fanat), can't get a bowazon below 6 fpa
could get zerk barb down to 5 fpa while frenzy is active which is kinda silly
trap laying can really set off disco lights if nothing else

pretty sure all the shapeshift builds can get down to 2 fpa with the right items, don't think I can get them down to 1 fpa though

Damn, nice testing. Definitely a difference to lod no doubt, wonder what else is broken, later I might try hero editor to bring items with Giga fcr to test in d2r sp

I should add
one of my recollections from the werebear / werewolf "missing attack" bug from LoD was that server and clients calculated attack speeds at different rates at high speeds
its likely that D2r took the server calculations and made them apply to client, or vice versa, and thereby fucked up one of the two in a way it wasn't before

it used to be that if your werebear attacked faster than the server thought he could attack, he'd keep missing attacks
from a basin 2011 post;

some impromptu testing showed that negative attack speed is still capped at -85%, a sorc with like -150% eias resulted in ~6.5 seconds per attack with a pike, which tracks with a 24 base frames with -85% speed
so only positive attack speed is uncapped

I mean, if negative speed went below 0%, it would almost certainly have crashed the game, right?
so server crash method ruled out >.>
