That guide is kinda shit, according to that guide there is no reason to even pick up a plated belt, but a 140 ed grim scythe is GG
It just gives examples, it dose not explain anything.

Well its meant to give guidelines. Anyway you are reading it bit wrong as grim scythe with 140 ed is stated useful no GG + gscythes usually need the -30 req

Weapons are a must for barbs and you should look for these types:
Naga, Tabar, Ancient axe, Battle hammer, Martel de fer, Ancient sword,
Executioner sword, Lance, Grim Scythe, Bec-De-Corbin. Other types are kinda useless.
On weapons high ed (140-200) is very important and nice adds are life, min/max dmg, skills,
ele dmg, high ar, maybe ias for smite/zeal,-req if needed.

Example for a usefull barb weapon :

150 ar
140 ed
min or max dmg

Why is this guy talking about smite and zeal in classic?? There is a reason I didn't bring up 20 ias twin axes for frenzy barbs... You would probably sell that 140ed grim scythe faster.
