What’s so competitive about a mirror duel

Me personally i think its they best pking on diablo 2...just wait....let me explain

1. You cant hack/mod and its normaly 100 percent good manner in the privite games (hacking and mods make pking in generl fuking retarted)

2. the builds are endless!....theres so much you can do with a bvb..so many secrets waiting to be reveled.. (theres not always so much you can do with a caster)

3. For the people who say "ooh bvb is boring" lol that obveously means you never built a strong gg bvb...because if your both gg the duels get fucking I N T E N S E...(and thats coming from a dude who also duels with a 200fcr fire sorc, ele druid and bvc as well) if anything i can see zeal being boring...BVB?...N E V E R.

4. For the people who say " zzz it takes no skill" lol obveously not as much as a caster but lets see you make a solid build that can hold up againt some of the best melee duelers on the realm ...and i got some ww tactics that will make a dudes head spin.... so yes no wear near as much skill as a caster true...but it does req some skill, and most importantly patients and dedacation.

Even matchup so it’s gunny on gunny. The quicker locks and stomps typically >

Imagine a svs hardpoint type mode where u had to hold a section of the moor for so long, before a new hill popped. Both players on the hill the time freezes, u kill the other one, u get to soak time before they spawn back up and contest. It would be really cool imo

A game where you can just run and spray and hope to hit your enemies or hope that they quit l8zing first can never be competitive.

The skill gap is pretty amazing in d2 so if there were a way to integrate game mods and have spawn points and timers and so maybe lives etc, the shit could be lit. 1v1s in every other game are almost always mirror, unfortunately there’s no good objectives other than kill your opponent in d2.

what competitive 1v1 games are mirror based? i got curious and it has me thinking

Call of duty they practically all run the same setups and guns
And pretty much any game that has the same ballistics, unlike d2? Although different guns may be used, it’s hitscan so it’s as mirrored as a vita fire using a slightly different setup with slightly different damage and life.
Only differences is certain specialists in some games

There’s not really many real “competitive 1v1” games tho besides like fighting games? Lol

Dont think there are any competitive 1v1 shooters besides quake? maybe some other older games

Fighters is definitely the main one for 1v1s

Starcraft? Hearthstone XD? Honestly cant think of any others lmao

None of those are mirror based unless a meta is heavily favoured towards something

yeah those are all apples to oranges games, all you can assume for "competitive 1v1s" in shooter competitive games is situational 1v1s, except maybe some wager/gamebattles in cod (typically perfectly mirrored), rocket league has 1v1 (definitely a mirror), even fortnite has "solos" which is practically mirror due to metas.

but like all shooters are hitscan vs hitscan, the dps is the only thing that's slightly different, the ballistics are the same, character movement speed, etc. so basically a mirror
u don't have to have one guy chasing and one guy running because one character is a much favorable matchup, etc in these games, its gunny on gunny
