Anyway i don´t care at all you can use whatever rules you want.

I will just use my BOTD-BA 415 -15 -2ar if its allowed. I was too greedy to pay 15k more fg for a +3 ar botd-BA.

And if you own such a BA you will never ever again care what rare weapons other will bring in the future since you will beat them all.

The best rare fools Blade i have seen so far in d2r is an 560 max-dmg-fools erep Balrog and my calc tells me that i will lose 17% of my actual performance if i would use this instead of BOTD.

According aow bvb codex you are free to play as much as rare items you want.

Forti , grief bvb as we all know as FFA bvb is kinda boring as most builds are similar.

Yes we have to implement a cool and edgy parallel system compared to "their" Grief-Forti-Duelz also all the Koreans and Chinese are playing.

And yes AoW is exactly the way to go. But in my opinion its necessary to find out what way/rules are most fun and fit best to latest Game changes.

Problem with Botd is that it is just too powerful now.

The > 1000 life together with lifeleech what is still a thing in long fights especially since we play in norm mode are much more value than you might think.

BOTD adds Attackrate and lowers enemy defense by 12,5%.

BOTD has 415 ed and still 60% ias so you simply need only 1 ed/ias jewel for BP.


So to make it clear you need this rare-BA to end up at equal BOTD-Performance:

" ethereal 275ed fools BA, 2 open sockets, fools mod, 40 ias, selfrepair " if you have only balrogblade or colossus you need even more than 275 ed!


Anyway times go by and game mechanics change. The GM-Community is also on the brink to change their rules because conc has nowadays 0% chance to win vs the other 3fps-now classes even with best gear possible.

And i will never understand why everyone is always talking about diversity in AoW while BOTD is simply the only valid weapon you can use.

i dont get it, why you have to repeat a 15 year old knowledge about rares vs botd :|
you sum everything up, to back up your idea of banning botd ? if so, make it quick and easy for a bvb fun league and ban every runeword.
no enigma, no forti, no grief, no botd, no oath
dmg red = 50%
psn dmg = max. 100
cold-dmg = not allowed

armor is an easy cake for every budget 2300 eth def hades is pretty easy to obtain and good.
ias frames are easy to reach with 2 os armors, more weapon options

there are some tours with rare items go for that if u wanna play with it, current rules are balanced and ok i guess. if u dont allow botd only rich peoples will have useful bvbs, this way also poor guys are able to do an ok barb & the difference between each player isnt that big.

Rare Fools blades are below 2000 fg nowadays while perfect botd is 25-30.000 FG.

I just feel like nobody ever played AOW in d2r and always only talks about good old days?

Best is you all build an AOW-Barb, you play it actively and AFTER this we talk again and you can tell all your suggestions.
