I bet we have to think about AOW-Rules once again since some changes ingame have occured and time also went by.
GM-Melee-BVB rules are quite logical and duels work properly but there is only 1 perfect setup and all you can change is your headpiece. All are forced to use Grief + Forti.
For AOW-BVB the aim should always be to support Rare items + Unique Items over runewords and to make mana management an inportant piece of Duel-mechanics.
Cold-Damage is a problem nowadays since it will completely destroy your Attack-Speed. And options to get cannotbefrozen are also limited because you need ias on gear now even if fighting with BOTD.
Damage reduce of 45 is also a problem since its impossible to check each time opponents gear and for example what kind of verdungo he is using actually. Its capped at 50 anyway and everybody could decide if 43 or 45 is ok for them if they can use 40ed 15 ias or better use ber rune instead for example.
10% ow and restriction of poison are still up to date in my opinion.
Rules for Duel-Place, sets and rounds and rules for limited gear swaps could be also implemented.
And BOTD is also a bit of a problem since its so much better than it looks like. According to my calculators a 415% botd BA is in any combination better than even a rare Colossus-Blade with following statz: 270ed, fools, selfrep, ethereal, 2 open sockets. Good luck in finding even 1 Blade worldwide that beats those statz.
