I will still do my best to update daily, was just saying that because I wanted to feel out this new college semester before possibly letting everyone down b/c of my busy schedule.

After a lengthy discussion with several esteemed Ghostly participants, I have decided that this ladder requires an overhaul... Anyone who was a part of our last ladder recalls a time when all forms of WWsin variants were allowed. In an effort to keep the entire purpose of such a ladder (ie: mirror-matches) true to traditional "Ghost" values, I hastily banned such items (Fort, Bramble, Nats, etc.) I now see that instead of outlawing these builds, they should be wholeheartedly included in our GvG roster. This weekend, myself and a few others will set aside some time to develop three separate divisions to encourage use of all possible builds and dueling strategies, so that we may refresh the true purpose of a mirror-match.

What you can expect?... The plan, in its infancy is going to look something like this:

Division 1: All WWsin vs WWsin. I foresee this basically as being a BvB ladder for Assassins. Naturally, traps must be level 1 base, but shield builds as well as just about any armor variant may be allowed. I am considering outlawing Teleport completely as well to make things even more interesting.

Division 2: Speed based builds. This division will be intended for Ghosts who prefer employing speed and bleed tactics to win duels. The only new requirement will be no less than 65% FCR allowed. Budget friendly to encourage new participants, due to the overwhelming success in utilizing a simple 102% FCR setup with Chaos of Fury.

Division 3: Power based builds. True to what most ghosts currently employ, the participants of this division will focus on brute force combined with the traditional Enigma based GvG match-ups. The only new requirement will be no more than 64% FCR allowed. Yes, you read that correctly, 64% MAXIMUM. To all those GvGers who want to test the power of their top-tier fool/cruel claw builds, this is the division for you.

*Note* Anyone may participate in any of the divisions, so long as they follow the rules..

For the time being, this thread will continue as normal (update probably tonight), and will also be open to feedback on this new concept. Questions, comments, concerns are appreciated. Lets make this ladder enjoyable for everyone. :D

IMO: Too much division, makes it too complicated. We only have like 8 players so far... Dividing it more will result in less per division.

I think it's best to keep it Ghost v Ghost (Minimum Req: Enigma + 2 claws) and WW v WW sin (Any variation of wwsin, only requirement is trap be level 1)

You can potentially be #1 Ghost in all 3 brackets. Its up to the players to choose how they wish to compete their Ghost. If there are less then 3 participants in one division for an extended period of time we can put our minds together to improve it or even delete it all together! Don't forget, WWsins like Trampbiatch and ULTRAWWDEATHRAY quit the ladder, particularly because of the limitations imposed by the current rule-set. If it works well enough, we SHOULD have more participants then before.

;)

The 26 Rules of GvG:

1) Duels take place in Hell Difficulty, in the Blood Moor.
2) Both players must say "go" or "g" for a duel to begin.
3) First to 5 wins a challenge, and both slain at same time is a tie - not who dies first. Double kills are not counted.
4) No hacks of any kind.
5) No healing or rejuvination potions, wells, shrines, antidote potions, PvM leeching, or healing of any kind, etc... (Life Rep. up to 40 is permitted).
6) Use your own BO with the gear you use during duels.
7) Absolutely NO pre-buff; you must cast venom with the gear you will be dueling in. Carrying anything in your inventory except for charms is considered BM (IE. Cube for buffing)
8) Stacked poison resist up to 85% and/or up to 75% poison length reduced by gear is allowed. (You must show belt + potions along with gear to prove where the plr/stack comes from, if need be.)
9) Use/recasting of Shadow Master/Warrior are allowed.
10) Being a Ghost vs Ghost ladder, the minimum requirements for your Assassin to be considered a Ghost are as follows: Enigma armor, Chaos claw, and a second claw. These items MUST be used for official duels.
11) You may challenge up to two spots ahead, until reaching the "top 3 barrier": Once reaching top 3 status, you may only duel who is the next spot ahead of you.
12) You can only challenge the same person once in the span of 48 hours unless they accept it first. After challenging the same person two times in a row, a minimum 3 day "grace period" must be given before rechallenging a third time.
13) No dodging. This rule is in place for someone who wishes to "hold" their spot. The challenger should be the one initiating a date/time to duel. If the challengee does not give a reasonable reply within 4 days, a dodge may be called. If the challenger fails to initiate a specific time/date within 4 days, the challenge will automatically be dropped
14) One base point may be used in light or fire traps. Claws with + to trap skills base are acceptable. (Hybrids are permitted, so long as trap skills beyond 1 base point are not used.)
15) If you town it is a death (on purpose or accidental) unless your opponent agrees otherwise.
16) No excessive use of houses or cornering/mass defensive dueling. If you feel your opponent is too defensive, feel free to pm a mediator to watch the duel or fraps it yourself.
17) Items that have spell charges are allowed but charges may not be used.
18) Ethereal items are not allowed unless they are glitched indestructable, zod'd, or self-repair.
19) Winner must post legit s/s's of the kills if there is any question as to the outcome of the duels.
20) Being in a party of any size during official duels is not allowed unless the match is being mediated (Only the Mediator may be in a party).
21) Any time either player touches the stash (for any length of time), they are to Save/Exit & Rejoin ASAP and show their gear/inventory, upon discretion of the other player.
22) If any player dodges more than 2 challenges in a row (3rd dodge). They face risk of being kicked from the ladder. They may rejoin again later, but will lose rank.
23) For the duel against #1 spot. You must win by 2 (aka 5-3) or first to 7 wins - whichever comes first. (This is to prevent excuses such as "lucky" weapon blocks.)
24) A player is allowed to go on vacation for up to 7 days. When a player is on vacation status, others may challenge around them. (Ex: If #5 goes on vacation, #7 can now challenge up to #4)
25) In order to be active on the ladder, you must have PM access or have a GvG Ladder participant to represent you and mediate communication for challenges. You must also not be away from Jsp for an inordinate amount of time (i.e. several weeks+).
26) Repeated s/e'ing after each death to get around the "Anya bug" is considered BM.
