Melee is considered hand to hand combat... you have to be in reach to use it. How is WW not considered a melee ability? You have to be dumb to not consider WW a melee skill. So I guess smite isn't melee?

like I said clearly the rules on d2 have been split between OG players and new players. Lifetap has never been GM and WW has always been considered melee even tho its not allowed in a melee v melee duel.

No neither of those are considered melee if you ever bothered to open up a melee ladder and look at rules which im sure you havent.

Im well aware Smite and WW are not allowed in a zeal or straight up melee duel, but by definition and what it does in the game WW is considered melee. He can easily smite me when I WW and gain lifetap, how is that fair when he can sorb my low traps? What is Whirlwind then? a fucking caster? lol
