I'm just gonna clear this up.. one piece of tap is in fact gm unless it's a melee duel, in gm melee ww and smite ate not included. Nor is a trap sin. So this was not a melee duel from what I gather.. sounds like a gm ft5 in which case exile is gm assuming that the only tap item he used. And tgods is also gm assuming he didnt show you a wisp.
